Epitome of True Love

From high school sweethearts to lifetime lovers–if that isn’t an epitome of true love, we don’t know what is. Darren and Viona are one of the sweetest, caring, and gentle couples that we have ever met. Despite their busy nature, they were humble, welcoming, and it felt so easy to connect with them and cross the checklists for their wedding, one by one.

As we worked to craft Darren and Viona’s big day, we also got to know their journey as a couple. Starting as high school sweethearts, they had to endure being in a long distance relationship when Viona went for her bachelor’s degree at Brisbane, Australia. Afterward, Darren flew over and they both finished their master’s degree together at Brisbane. Through every special occasion, challenges, and couple arguments, the sense of longing and comfort only grew bigger until they decided to be each other’s lifetime partner. To love in sickness and health, and ‘til death do them part.

After thorough discussions, Darren and Viona picked purple tone as the main accent for the wedding. Flos Decoration executed the concept flawlessly–a dreamy garden in a soft purple palette inside the ballroom. The stage was set, and the beautiful couple entered the venue while the saxophonist joined them by the entrance, walking ahead of the couple while playing “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Eyes were on them, and everyone in the room, including us, were drowned in the romantic entrance.

The wedding ran smoothly. The guests enjoyed the dinner, music was smoothly tuned, smiles and laughter filled the room, and there was a special performance from the guest star; Dini Rambu Piras. The night only got merrier when a video of the newlyweds’ friends played on the screen. They were Darren and Viona’s closest friends who lived overseas and could not attend the party, but expressed their best wishes and joy for the unity of the highschool sweethearts through the sincere video.

During the preparation, changes and adjustments had to be made due to the pandemic. Darren and Viona’s party was supposed to be held in July 2021, but was postponed due to government regulations. So when eventually we could make the party happen, we ensured that the health protocols were strictly applied during the whole process, including mandatory antigen swab testing for every guest and vendor.

Overall, the wedding was a huge success and we were so grateful to have the chance to organize it. Congratulations again, Darren and Viona!
